Default Dash rattle where it meets windshield...

Has anyone else had this problem? It look slike my dash oves up and down a bit just at the windshield. If i put pressure to hold it down it doesnt make any noise, but its hard to drive with one hane holding the dash down. Is there anything that someone has used to tighten it up, something to push into the junction that doesnt look like crap? Any ideas what to use?

Default I think someone started a master squeek-and-rattle thread yesterday

but with the site sluggishness today I can't find it.

My allroad has a very annoying dash squeek that sounds a lot like yours. If I push down on the dash a couple inches in front of the binnacle and on the left side, it goes away.

Default Mine was the actual dash rubbing the windshield...

I bought the car with a replacement PPG windshield installed. The windshield does not have the same curvature as the OE one, and so the dash was touching it, making a very annoying sound. I took the entire dash off to find this out. In the end, I placed a small piece of black foam tape at the forward centre edge of the dashboard (right in front of the defroster vent). It is impossible to tell that it is there, but it fixed the squeak. I still can't get over teh fact that I spent an entire day dismantling the dashboard only to find out the noise was not coming from underneath. Hope this helps.

Doh! I had my windshield replaced 2 months ago. I'll try something similar.
