I looked over all the previous posts, but wanted to know if anyone actually found solutions to the passenger side window squeak (seems the window gasket rubs, since this only occurs when window is up). Was silicon the solution people have found to work?

Also, I have a God-awfull little rattle/squeak coming from the drivers side of the dash WAY up near the window. I have inserted a piece of cardboard between the window and the dash to create a little pressure (not in the opening between window and dash)- and this has solved the problem completely, but in order to find out what is loose or rubbing under there, I'm going to have to take it to the dealership.

Being the type of person who believes the dealer fixes one problem, but creates two more, I'm wary of this. Will talc powder or something help? Does the dealer have to remove the entire dashboard to fix?

Any suggestions will be appreciated. I'll also have them check the sunroof drain to explain my wet carpet.

I have my '01 S4 in for a similar problem. My rattle is a clicking sound seeming to come from the center of the dash, behind the gauges. Very annoying. It's loud enough to be distracting - a $40K+ car simply shouldn't rattle. My dealer also re-dyed a portion of the silver leather side bolster while it was in. They'll hopefully find the rattle tomorrow so I can stop driving this POS Corolla LE.
