Data point for archival purposes: 18 x 8.5" BBS CH with 235-40-18 Michelin Pilot Sports weigh
(weight) 49 pounds (lbs) each. Use bathroom scale with me by myself and then me holding wheel/tire method. I believe I previously weighed the stock Avus with Bridgestone RE040 and it was 52 pounds. So no penalty, but no big weight savings for having a bunch more rubber on the road.
