Default Take a look at the ticket. If it's Federal (from Park police or non city police) then it will not..

be reported to the dmv or your insurance company so long as the fine is paid on time. That's only if it's a federal ticket.

Default Not at double the speed (90 mph through there). Also, those cops are specifically looking for

trucks, etc. However, there have been a few days when I've been hit with radar going through there. If you are going north bound (towards DC) there is a cop that sits in the parking lot of the brick building on the right, after you are past the Pentagon. Also, heading southbound, a cop sometimes sits on the on ramp from the pentagon after the bridge that heads directly towards the Pentagon. I'd be careful through there, you can safely do 50 - 55, but much faster than that and you are asking for problems. BTW, I think I've been hit by radar, but since radar detectors are illegal in VA, I wouldn't really know.

Default Strange.. I would have figured you would have to go to federal court...

For that. Does it say which department issued the ticket?

I have no clue about the points man. Sorry.

Default 21 MPH over speed limit == 5 points in DC, howver...

Are you licensed in DC? Does it just translate to "speeding" for any other jurisdiction? anyway, a quik search yielded:

Default I would think that you'd still get points.

The infraction occured in DC property, not on federal property, so it falls under DC jurisdiction. If he did in on federal property in DC such as Rock Creek Parkway, then it would go to a Federal court.

It doesn't matter who the officer works for, he's the witness to the infraction. The only thing he has to show is that you were driving at an "unreasonable speed"

Default White car Gold shield = uniform division of secret service. You should fight they probably wont show

DC usually takes forever before they scheduel a date. It may not be untill december and even then you should adjourn it once.Dc is notorious for failing to notify federal officers, except the park police who always show. On the day you show for the ticket if you see the Agent, there is an attorney who only does traffic tickets who is almost always in the building, he represents all the cabbies hire him he knows everyone and can work out the best deal you can get.
