dead battery and dealer???
S4 is 2001
I don't drive my car that often about 1x a week (only about 7k in a year).
Recently I went to pick my car up at garage and the battery was dead. Nothing no wouldn't charge no electric nothing.
I brought it to dealer and they said I don't drive the car enough? They said I have to drive it 2x weekly for 30 minutes. Does that make any sense?
Thanks

if you store it, you should always keep the battery charged. don't
try starting it all the time with a semi-dead battery...
if it won't take a charge any longer, it's under warranty..there's this dealer out here that screwed with my friend because of a replacement battery..i won't go into the details, but they were ******.

Re: dead battery and dealer???
Kind of related...
I went in to test drive a 2002 S4 once and the battery was dead b/c they said it was only test driven about once a month or so (for serious buyers only...no joyriders LIKE ME, hahahaha!)
Anyway, they charged it for a bit and it was fine, but it's somewhat consistent with your story.

I have posted about batteries before...they will not last sitting
too much draw from the alarm system. that is why
Audi spends millions per year on battery
warranties.
If you want to know the procedure at the port,
just ask.
