Default deciding on a chip this week and need a little input.

I live in Denver at 5500 feet with basically 91 octane gas as the only option. What are your experiences with chips at altitude and/or with 91 octane and can you give me a last suggestion before I decide. Ill tell you Im strongly leaning towards GIAC at this point.
TIA

Default The chip for you:

is the chip with the least amount of timing, and largest amount of boost.

Sorry I don't know who makes that one, but that's what you have to find out.

I'm at 7000 feet (Santa Fe) and have the GIAC X chip running 91 octane (only for the last week) but it's running just fine. I may try some racing fuel (quarter of a tank or so) to get close to 93 or so and see if I feel any more zip but I don't hear any pinging and the car hauls ***!

Since we are at higher elevation, I think our need for higher octane is less critical. I asked my service manager about this as one tank I could only get 90. He said that in Albuquerque (5000 feet), he has customers running regular unleaded with no problems at all. He said if you went to sea level, you'd be in bad shape. And for what it's worth, he highly recommended Chevron gas.

Default I live part time in Cretted Butte, Co and I am definatly leaning twards the "X" chip.

I have a hard time getting 90 let alone 91, so I guess I get to be the lab rat.

Default Dude, you live in Santa Fe? I live in Taos and have been dying to try an "X" chip.

Could you maybe PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me come down there and let me drive your car?

Sure! But the bad news is I'm on the road pretty much full time between next Tuesday and the 5th of December (3 full weeks in Australia starting the 15th). I am around the 6th to the 9th of November if your in my part of town.
