so im ready to try to tackle the 3.0l crank swap project and this is all the info i have come up with so far ( if any is incorrect please correct me)
stock bore = ~81mm
stock stroke = 86.4mm
stock rod length = 154mm
stock rod ratio =1.78240:1
3.0 stock bore = 82.5mm
3.0 stock stroke = 92.71mm
stock rod length = ??
stock rod ratio = ??
increase in stroke = 6.31mm
stock rod and pistons will not work since it will stick out past the deck ~6mm
you will need a shorter length rod ( which is not good since the rod ratio will go down) or a combination of shorter rod and less compression height piston to maintain as close as possiable rod ratio.
it is recommended to have at least 1.6:1 rod ratio. the stock rods @ 154mm vs 92.71mm stroke = 1.661:1 rod ratio
is there anyone else that can help complete the equation??

correct pin placement, compression, diameter, etc... are all available to order. They made to work with the 3.0L crank stroke and stock length rods (just buy any forged 2.7T rod).
And...I can't finish a 3.0L post without pitching. I have my 2.7T block with 3.0L crank installed waiting for a good home at a VERY good price.

essential for higher power engines, i will be running k04 so i will probably be fine, but for someone looking for higher power def take a look to see there is enough space left.
any info on the specs of the pistons? whos making them?

line hone the stock ones if you need to fit a bigger journal.
any measurements on the main and rod journals?

The pistons were spec'd to work with stock rod length with the longer stroke crank.
I got stock rods I can ship to you for free with the purchase of the 2.7t block with 3.0L crank installed. Would work fine with K04.

Seems like the stock crank bearings work well, but the engine has never been fired up. I never got that far in my build other than using stock 2.7t bearings to temporarily install the 3.0L crank. Fit like a glove as far as I see and no problems with the main caps.
Will need to speak to someone to see if they used oversized crank bearings.
