Default Dension ICELink on B5 S4

http://enfigpics.com/shopsite_sc/store/ ... _iopd.html

Looking at this site and wonder which Dension Icelink i shld get: the one behind radio or the one for the trunk.

I have a B5 S4 with the Concert Bose with a changer in the trunk.

I also wonder if it's possible to just use the Dension icelink with a connecting plug only so i can place it somewhere underneath the armrest, instead of have the mounting bracket sticking out on the side of the center dash.

Help appreciated...

Default mounted mine under the armrest in cupholders

got the one that attaches behind the radio. But I believe if you have the CD changer already you may need a adapter to be able to use both.

Default I use a Belkin TuneDok...

Perfect fit in the cupholder under the armrest. See my pic poster, and my post-install writeup is here.

Default i reccomend the behind the head unit version

1) in my experience it works a little better (arguably you won't be able to tell the difference but in some cases it does)

2) it will be easier to run your wires to your dash for dock placement.

tip: remember to ground it yourself! (head unit connect version, instructions will remind you of this, but it's extrememly important)

Default thx guys. so wud i have to install the bracket then?.....

I'd prefer to have the docking cable only so placement of the player is more flexible...

No you wouldnt have to go with the bracket. But you need to find a kit with the plug instead of it.

Default i think the site offers a choice of the followings when u order, including:

1) classic connection
2) mini cradle
3) docking cable
4) docking cradle

I guess i will be going for 3), and i dont know wht the hell 1) is...
