well after waiting 6 months for the hood,
not able to found jack (auto perfection), and then waited 2 weeks with Brook Motor(please take them off norcal recommended list, they reject me because i have NON-OEM parts! and i even talk to the owner!), i decided to take the car to Diablo Audi's body shop(beside being a audi body shop, it is also farmer insurance shop).

so they told me it will take 2 weeks to get it done... 3 weeks later, i went this morning to pick up my car. The Shade to my suprise is acceptable(not perfect) from far away it look good,

but on closer inspection, the prep work was NOT acceptable!

STAY away from that shop - esp the manager Scott there. He basically fail to comunicate any info i have left him at the time i drop the car to the people who have work on my car.

a) i told them to keep the bottom of the hood raw carbon fiber.. they painted the bototm, and now told me it can not be remove. And there is rough/uneven spot all over the hood in the corner and side edges --&gt;

b) i pay 180 dollar for them to paint my mirrors so that my car have no black part on the bottom... THEY JUST REPAINT the mirror (top part), and left the bottom black part alone.

c) the bumper on left side doesn't fit as slug as the right side.. because the worker told me there is no BRACKET being replace/order..

d) the rear right door panel was scretch when someone bump into my car. most shop will replace it, but this shop say they can fix it w/o replacing the panel. Well as you can see with the picutre that panel is still not perfect... it is the panel in the middle of the picture, right at the end near the tire.

e) the rear wing look good, consdier he charge me only 25 bucks for it.. but in the end there is still a scretch right in the middle of this picture.

i guess i will be another 2 weeks out.
This being the first car taking to a body shop that i give a damm about, am i too picky to expect a perfect paint/body job? am i asking for too much? or this shop just plain old suck?

my car was hit twice and both times i took it to the same shop. like you, my s4 is the only car i've owned that i give a damn about. after the first time the shop had dealt with me, they know me (and fellow s4 owners... as i saw several other s4's being fixed by them when i dropped/picked up my car), so the second time when they're done, they actually asked me over just to inspect it before they actually released it to me two days later (because they knew they would overlook some minor details which only s4 owners go after).

insist on what you think is right, you're the customer and you have to be satisfied.

I know nothing of the body shop that Diablo Audi sends work too. Sorry you didn't know about German Auto Body earlier.

and the method was similar.. now i konw ATTENTION to detail is everything!!!

put german auto phone # and address on norcal site if they are the place!!!

and tell people to be aware of brooks with their attitude toward anything after market!
(despite i told them 2 weeks ahead)

I highly suggest German Auto Body (John or Pete). It may even worth it to bring it to them now....

if a body shop fail to do his work.. can i tell the insurance company to stop payment and i just take car to another shop ?

Is it the shop in Pleasonton? Crap, I just dropped off my black S4 for repair via Allstate.
