Default Did the search already, have better idea what different hybrid turbos are out there..more

Am I correct in saying that the K03/K04 and the K03/16 can be used as direct replacements to the stock K03 turbos? that is without the need for different inlet-pipes or down-pipes. And also, can the hybrids work with a stage 1 only car, or do I have to look into cat-back aftermarket exhaust system too? Not looking for maximum power output, just something more reliable than the stock K03s. TIA.

Default that's correct. None of them 'need' different downpipes but all are benefitted by gutting the

precat on the stockers or with aftermarket dps. I wouldn't run k03s, k03/04s or k03/16s with the precat there.

Default Yes, the Ko3 based hybrids don't need different inlet -pipes or down pipes..

There are a few of us running Hybrids w/o cat-back's. (Like me) ONce your in there you'll likley do the down pipe mods (piggie pipes) and the rest is up to you. Its my Fiance's (Ms. S4's Daily Driver so) I'm not looking for max power (being a Tip car) and have found that the Hybrids are tame enough to run on a relativly stock car (Stock fueling that is).. I haven't encountered MAF overrun or 'Throttle Cut' as I think its call around here.. ... I think raising Fuel preasure and tweaking with LW with a Parralel MBC will yeild great drivability with a margin of saftey and still gives a good bit more Umph Up top!. Ko3/K04 really wake up over 5000 RPM just as they were designed to do.. I'm running APR 1Bar Ko3 code and doing just fine on an A box.

Default Yeah.. I'm back :) Now that I know my way around these S4's.

I'll try to contribute more to AW.. as I couldn't have completed my Tip Swap without you guys...
