The screen is at the end of the sensor though :-)

Default Since the turbos need exhaust gas(air) to spin, so if you restrict the intake air,

the engine output wil be less, and the speed of the turbos will be reduced as well, because less air going in, means less air going out.( in theory). I don't see how they can overspin, when a large restriction can cause the turbos to actually pull a vacuum if the intake is blocked.

Default This is true if the waste gate is always closed. But there is a band over which the waste gate ....

.... operates partially open. So, the first reaction to inlet restriction would be the waste gate closing more, allowing more of the restricted throughput of the engine to go to the turbo. And, all along the ECU senses WOT.

The DBW complicates an otherwise simple conclusion :-)

Default Interesting...

I'll have to check but I thought I saw as high as 180% load, but my flow rate never got quite that high. Now what variables go into the load calculation exactly? Also it was 80 degrees out, I suppose my flow rates might be higher in some cooler 40-50 degree weather.

Uh... not in my 2001, it's at the beginning (before actual sensor)? Or maybe I misunderstood you.

Default By the way do you have the actual airflow numbers where you got a 25g/sec gain?

And what else was done to the car?
