Default Didn't run dry I bet and...

I suspect engine damage was minimal if any, because it takes couple minutes of bone-dry running to start screwing things up unless you were gunning it.

One thing I do and tell anyone that ever drives any car of mine without me present, is that if the oil light comes on, pull over RIGHT AWAY. Even if a station is 100 yards ahead, stop and turn off the engine. I'm reminded of a friend who's dad had a caddy, and the temp light came on. He tried to make it home with a broken water pump. Never did, and shelled out $7,000 for a new engine.

Default Damn saint, sorry to hear it. I agree it sounds like the oil pan

but its covered by the plastic black liner so you must have really slammed it hard in order to create a crush crack in the pan. The oil filter is up there too, but its higher up so I doubt that is it. None of the black under tray is hanging down is it?

You can probably pull the black under tray to visually inspect the damage. If it were me I would do it, just so I knew what happened, not only so I knew what was needing to be replaced, but also, you can feel better knowing its not as bad as what your mind can make it seem when you don't know for sure what broke.

Default Your "incident" wasn't stupid, slamming your car was....

Hate to be a ***** here, but you lowered that car about 1.5 in too much. Thus, no suspension travel-no oil pan. DO NOT expect your warranty to cover this and pray you don't have any engine damage-unless you've got $$ to burn.

hope this sinks in,

Your concience.

Default His car is not as low as the car in his sig... He took shots of it immediatly after coilover install

and put then put it at a streetable height.

So that makes your rage about his ride height seem a little stupid now doesn't it...

Default ~DOH~

Oil Pan. Definately, you cracked it.

Hey how much ground clearance do you have now? I lowered my car about an inch, and as much as i love it when i'm tearing around, it sure is a "high maintainance" affair around town! :-P
