Differences b/w Bose and base audio systems in S4? (more)
Currently looking at an S4 without Bose. How much difference is there in sound quality, and what options are forgone by not having the Bose system?
I STFA'd but didn't see a thread discussing the differences b/w the base and the Bose systems.

the bose is nice (i'll leave it at that), however most people on the board...
will say its not worth the upgrade...so it comes down to your preference.
again its decent, but i have heard better myself in other high end cars...

I guess what I'm asking is what I'll be missing if I pick up an S4 that doesn't have the Bose system
Is there still a CD player in the dash?
The car I'm looking at has the disc changer in the trunk but no Bose system so what will I not have in the dash or what appearance difference is there in the head unit?

There is a definate difference.
Although the BOSE isn't stellar (by far) there it is a definate upgrade in quality from the base system. I just came from and 01.5 A4 with the BOSE and am still getting used to the base system in the S. Hoping the tax return gets here soon so I can perform my first mod: speakers!
