difficult shifting from 2nd to 1st. misaligned shifter or bigger problem?

Its tough for me to get it into first when I'm rolling unless I'm going very slow and the car is warm. I've always had that problem, even with a stock shifter (i have a B&M SS now). I think its just the tranny in general, my syncos seem fine otherwise.

I'm going to switch to different (thinner) tranny fulid sometime in the near future (can't remember if its Redline MTL or MT90). That may help some. Usually I just leave the car in 2nd if i'm rolling. I'd rather waste the clutch than a syncro.

You should only be going into first if you're almost coming to a stop. The car has more than enough low end to pick up from second gear. The first gear lockout is a safety feature to save your transmission in case of a missed shift.

it will go in much easier with a rev match. Easy on those synchros!!
