DIS has dead pixels, out of warranty. Anyone know...
... if someone has successfully convinced Audi to replace the console free of charge or is there's a recall?
It seems like a common problem. It could also be a safety issue; soon I won't be able to see any warning lights come up.

Mine was replaced today, just out of warranty(one month, 52K). SvcMgr helped me... split the cost.
I lost one in my A4 as well... just before the warranty ran out. Wasn't quite as lucky on this one but my dealer helped a lot.
Its a bad design imo... another Audi glitch. I think if there were a cost-effective way to rebuild them it would have already been done. It's nice to have a bright/complete display again, and this time I won't be wiping this one off with a towel to avoid all the little scratches that accumulated after 4yrs of weekly washes.
