Default Disconnected Hose

Playing around under the hood and I noticed a loose hose. Can anyone identify this? Should it be connected to something? It originates behind the engine and was sitting loose behind the airbox. I apologize for the picture quality, it was the best I could do. The first picture shows the end of the hose and the second shows the origin. I already STFA, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I had a buddy of mine (a Bimmer guy) look at it and he suggested that it may just be a vent to atmosphere from the fuel regulator. Only this is that it has a clamp on it like it was connected previously. Any thoughts?

hmm. It looks to me like the blue plastic inside of the hose is the end of a hose barb that broke off. Do you see any similarly colored blue plastic connectors anywhere in the vicinity that seem to have an open or broken end?

That metallic round thing above the arrow in the second pic looks like your FPR - is the hose directly connected to the FPR or the manifold? Also, the more pics the better.

The hose in your picture looks like one of these gray hoses. Sorry - Can't tell much else from your images. Hope that helps.

Also, those 3-way connectors in the center of the picture are plastic and can break when they get old and brittle from all the heat in that area. I'd start looking there.

Is it connected to the kombi valve? It might be a SAI delete?

You need to post better pictures ... at least show what it's connected to.
