I would go with bosch 710Ns. It is more of a precaution. There is technically no real need to do them. But you would want to at thier age.

Hey Black

Many people opt for the expensive billet valves. Personally I would rather spend the money elsewhere, but that is a personal choice that everyone makes. If you go with the 710N as suggested earlier you will be all set. That was also the way I decided to go and saved myself $200. Car's been running them for about 3 years now with no issues whatsoever. Incase you are interested in testing your existing valves here is an easy DIY: http://www.vaglinks.com/Docs/Misc/VA...rter_Valve.pdf

You don't really need to upgrade your stockers, but I would suggest keeping an eye on them if you chip it without replacing them. They will probably go a little sooner. FYI, the 710N does have a stiffer spring so it doea give you a little more boost before it opens, so there is a slight benefit to using them besides the reliability issue.

There is a ton of info on the links on the second page of the DIY if you want to know the benefits etc.

Cheers

I'm running the bailey DV's for about 15k. No problems so far. These are piston type, as opposed to the 710n, which is a diaphragm type. Most people run the 710n on their S4.

I ran Forge 007's DV's. Had those for over 110K miles. Can be refurbished.
