Default DIY info. Radar detector hardwire -> OEM switch w/ mute+led

I got the lead on this guy Lee NSX Jr. from some of the good people on this board. Thanks. I felt necessary to update you with the results of my project.

This switch is for the A3. But if you can find a momentary switch for your S4 dash, you'll be good to go!

Happy New Year everyone.

Default for other model owners.

I was in alex's S4 yesterday.
Pfew. Need to clean up that seat Alex.
I think I pis$ed myself.

Anyhow, I saw that his dash has rear and front fog, and an esp switch. So he didn't have room for a mute switch.

For folks with other model Audis that have an available spot... if you can't find a momentary switch that has an LED, don't worry. You don't need a switch with an LED indicator.

You would get a TPMS, Funk, any switch with a face that you like that fits your dash. You would be required to get a sunshade switch (A6) or whatever vehicle specific (dash) switch you can find that is a momentary switch.

Then you could wire up the guts of the momentary switch and swap face plates. So the FUNK button would light up when you get an alert. Be careful that both switches are for the same PLACE in the console area (ie:rounded corners, etc.).

Default Nice stuff! Lee is a great guy. He has ammased quite a cache of documentation on many radio

and other misc. electronics for the Audi.

Between him and Teddybgame, one need not go anywhere else for quality information and assistance.
