Default Great! I could care less about stock times. I just said I ran a 13.9, never said it was the fastest

stock! The guy asked if he can run as fast as 13.5 with only running an exahust. I commented that I though there was no chance.

I ran my car one pass stock to see what I could vet out of it, just for comaprison before I modded the car.

I also just ran the car, no prep period.

My point was that he said "Hell I have ran faster time yet with LESS mods look at my post DAMN IT!"

Less mods implies some mods! He didn't say stock or unmodded! I think he misread my post and thought I said 13.6, not 13.060. He also tells me to read his post, where he does not state a time! Whatever, it's all talk until he posts a slip, vid or pic.

Take care R

Default When we speak of heat soak we speak of the entire engine specially intercoolers.

Intake air temp make a VERY LARGE difference in hp performance. If you intercoolers get heat soaked their ability to cool charge air is dampered until you get up to speed, and by that time your run is over. When drag racing you MUST keep your A.I.T. as low as possible. Another example of ways to lower your A.I.T is Nitros (NAWZ), water injection, or freezing of intercoolers prior to your run with dry ice or spraying with CO2 or nitros. Water to air intercoolers that can be stuffed with ice and water.

What does this mean? Are you talking about some guy names 'Alias" or are you trying to say "Allas"? Are you trying to say 'S4audi" beat me? Your sentence does not make sence to me.

Who ran faster on K03's and a non-100 octane chip?

Don't just say "He beat you". Tell us who, how fast and what mods, and THEN back it up!

Default WE are NOT talking about intercoolers needing to be cool to make HP....

we are talking about bringing down actual engine temperature. Of course air intake temp has much to do with HP numbers, DID YOU READ my post above which is in total agreement with you?

My point is that intercoolers are designed to cool your intake charge, not your engine directly!

Come one man, where's you time and proof? You keep dodging that question and reiterating the obvious.

Default Me saying damn it was not with serious intent. I was referring to my post about heat soak at the

track. I was also refering to my STOCK times, and yes it was a bit confusing. By the way with just a GIAC "S" chip and S-Flo intake I ran a 13.40 again Adrenalen motorsport's turbo Scirrocco at the battle of the euro imports @ Atco which I went on to win the race and the purse. The techniques that I used to combat heat soak is what I listed in this thread. Does this clear any misunderstanding?

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/643050.phtml</a

But I can't reveal what I did to do it. And it is not Nitros.

Default we did measure temps at the intake

Dick Shine of Shine Racing Service in Walpole MA, who specializes in Audi/VW race and street application told me not to bother idliing my car between runs at the autocrosses. The oil will be warmed up sufficiently on the drive there.
