Does anyone else think our cars have a bad case of bump steer?

it diminishes a bit with the A4 (ie 'heavy duty') TREs - but also dulls steering a little

Default yep, and it gets worse with a Bilstein/H&R setup

i hope the motorsport treatment cures that <looks at piggy bank and cries>

yeah mine got worse with my vogtland coilovers i think it could be in my head

Default Nope, not in your head. Lowering the car makes the bump steer even worse since the

TRE's and rack are angled upward now.

Default FWIW, CPP TRE's are elongated so you can retain the stock geometry at lower ride heights.

It allows you to drop the tre spindle lower in the steering arm portion of the hub/knuckle.

That being said, Stasis swears that even lowered B5's remain within stock and desirable bump steer specs. I would kind of have to take their word for it, based on their track experience with the B5 chasis. They published it in their white papers at one point, but I don't seem to see them on their website anymore. A quick call to them could clarify that for you though.

The lower you go, the more you get bump steer. At 1" below stock, bump steer is minimal.

Have you tried getting a *real* alignment from a shop with the raised toe Hunter attachment?
