Default Does anyone have a better solution for this crap?

This is the 3rd time I have to replace this Brake booster hose - 078133701AD
I have the 01.5 that has the brake booster hose go from brake booster, to intake to accordion hose.
;

This thing leaks at this point

Anyone have a better solution than to replace the part from dealer? (maybe some kind of a home make setup)

As a DIY remedy I can only recommend the silicon gasket maker stuff. I've used that to patch a number of holes but never the brake booster hose. It's pretty sticky and seals well, plus it lasts practically forever and doesn't seem to mind engine heat or the elements.

That might do the trick - In case you don't know what I'm talking about you can get the stuff at autozone in little tubes - I prefer the black to the blue color and the copper infused stuff is unnecessary.

Mine split open. I resealed with shoe-goo and reinforced (after hardening) with heavy electrical tape, then zip ties. This was last summer (maybe 9 mos ago). I was in the part area last weekend. Part still looks good and no problems!

how much was that part? and is there anywhere cheaper than the dealer to get it? Mine has gone bad multiple times and I keep fixing it (JB weld), but feel its time to get a new one.

I made my own and used the connectors from the old one. Cost me about $50.
