I didn't keep them, but a sizeable increase in timing was the most notable result

How high? My pic poster has some logs with 93 octane.

And most of the logs in my pp are with 94 octane. Is that high enough?

There are some in the archives. I remember searching once.

DarinS4Turbo's pic poster would be a good place to search. He usually logs with a 96-98 octane mix.

Default If you mix 1 gallon of Xylene with 3 gallons of *94, you'll have 100 octane. Try it and report back.

I have only run 100 oct in my car once and I really didn't feel a difference. Maybe I didn't get a good brand or something, but I don't know if it is worth trying again. I've never tried mixing with toulene(sp?) or xylene before, but others seem to have great results.

Default I definitely notice a seat-of-the-pants difference when boosting octane to around 100 octane...

either with 100 octane gas or by adding toluene to my 91 craptane. VAG logs show a noticable increase in timing advancement and I find the boost levels to be more steady and don't taper as quickly as compared to when with 91 octane. I can't find the logs though...
