Does anyone know what APR charges for there KO4 upgrade software?
I am having all my work done this weekend( TB,turbo swap,IC's etc)
I wanted to see if its worth it to do that or just get a custom tune?
Whats a custom tune usually cost if I go that route? Do I have to have the tuner install there software on my ecu in order to tune it?

You need a fueling kit.
To get the performance out of the K04s, you need injectors, a larger MAF housing, and software (at the least)
If you buy an EPL fueling kit, it comes with MAF housing, RS4 accordion hose, fuel injectors, spark plugs, and software developed by EPL for those components plus K04 turbos.
To maximize the hardware on your car, you can opt for a custom tune from EPL on top of that. If you purchase the fueling kit from EPL, custom tune is only an additional $500. If you do NOT purchase the fueling kit from EPL, the custom tune price is quite different.

So I can't just get a custom tune w/o the stage 3 fueling?
So everyone that goes form KO3 to KO4 gets fueling too?
I am just trying to buy some time about 2 months before I drop more $$$ on the fueling.

Stop and think about what you want ...........
The APR programming is made to work with RS4 fueling items.
If you go ots Stage 3 programming, you will need the fueling items (maf, fuel pump, fuel injectors, etc.) that the programming was developed around to run properly.
If you go for custom tuning, the tuner will also have fueling items that their program was developed around.
