Does anyone's steering wheel squeek? Like as if it's rubbing against the plastic cover behind it?

Default yessir. dealer had something in the steering column lubricated and it didn't help.
went away during the winter months, but now that it's warming up i'm beginning to hear it again. ugh.

Yup...Dealer replaced some part in the column twice....still squeeks !!!

Default It would either be the airbag spiral spring, or the dual knuckle joint in the .....
steering column. I've seen where the whole column needs to be replaced.

Default Re: when i had my a4 had that problem read down
also had column bushings replaced twice. then it also squeeked cause the rack an pinion steering was out. so they replaced that then finlly i got a new steering wheel

It sounds like a thin piece of plastic, yes. It stopped by itself after a while.
