Or don't like? I searched the archives and couldn't find many discussions on the sub.

They're pretty cheap these days and I like everything about the Bose system except the very muddy bass.

If you do have one, was it easy to instal? And what did you hook it up to (Bose bass amp? Head unit?)

Thanks!

Default Bose "boominess" is a Bose feature. The bass curve in a bose system is wierd

Designed to fool the ear into thinking there is more bass than there is.

Yeah, and I have to adjust the bass between every CD and sometimes even songs!

Default Drop the bose, replace the bose "amp" in the rear, and you'll be much happier.

And it will be money better spend.

The Infinity Basslink has a built-in amp. So you would agree that it's a good choice?

Default I wouldn't. The Bose curves are in thier amp, and would remain in the other speakers.

You'd struggle constantly to find a good balance between them.

My opinion, anyway.

I think the other speakers sound good, but you think the Infinity wouldn't blend well?

Default Not the amp itself. Part of the curves are in the radio head, and can be disabled.

I have no idea what that would sound like, since the filters in the amp are "hard wired".
