Default Does it make sense to go stage 3 with over 75k miles?

I have 65k now, but I am thinking about when the turbos go.

Loanshark is over 100k with his APR Stage III, says it runs better now than day 1.

Default If you're sure you want to do, do it now.

That way you get more enjoyment, better reliability, you do it on your terms with your schedule, and you might be able to sell the used turbos if in good condition.

Default I am very happy with the car as it exists now...

but there is, of course, the lingering worry about the turbos. Will stage III make the car more reliable? If they do go, I think I would rather spend a little more on Stage III rather than paying the dealer for what I have now with the same worries.

Default Why not just install K04s and keep everything else the way it is?

As I understand it, K04 turbos are the same price as K03s. You would get better reliability and slightly better performance.

Default don't know yet....the jury is still out in my opinion.....

if I'm going to cough up lots of cash I better have a huge smile on my face when I drive away after the install....many have not (at this point).

I think KO4 tuning is getting there - not great yet...I a have perfectly fine Stage 2+ at the moment - if my turbos went tomorrow I would need to make a decision soon. For now, the turbo lady is not calling for me so I do not feel any rush. I'd rather wait until everyone else finishes being the beta tester! I'm my turbos go tomorrow I will be the beta-tester....
