Default Does NAV+ 8D0 035 192 D work in a 2001.5 S4?

I'm interested in buying one and this is the part number that is quoted. What colour or revision does the D mean?

Also, does Audi come out with a new DVD each year based on new neighbourhoods, etc.?

Thanks.

Default D refers to DVD based, C is CD based........

Revisions seem to be sporadic at best. 2/04 is the latest revision for the CD version (C-NAV). I'm not sure about D-NAV. If you have NAV+, which is DVD based (D-NAV) any D version should work. The revision date should be on the disc.

Default I think you might be confused - both revisions, C and D are both CD ROM based......

None of the NAV+ units that work in our cars are DVD based.

The last letter in the part number designates if the NAV+ is C or D revision.

I believe C-Navi is any part number that ends in D or lower (which in this case is C-Navi)...

If the part number ends in E or higher then, it is D-Navi.

See the link for an explanation of the differences between C and D Navi but, again, both are CD ROM based.

http://www.tvwiz.net/navigation/cdnavi.html</a

Default

I see. I thought NAV+ was DVD based. I just know it doesn't work in mine!

Default So just to clarify...

The one I'm looking at is the older NAV unit (D)?

Default Yes and no - the one you're looking at, if the part # is 8DO 035 192D is C-Navi....

and yes, that's the "older" one - I'd look around for a D-Navi - those should have the part number 8DO 035 192E or higher....

You really need to go to this link and read everything - it has all the info you need to know....very helpful site.

http://www.tvwiz.net/navigation/</a

Default Suffix D is the older "C" style.

The newer "D" or as it's sometimes called "DX" would be higher revisions. Write me an email and I can help you out with deciphering this.
