Default Dome light fuse keeps blowing

I removed the dome light fixture today to finish hard wiring my detector. I did nothing with the wiring in the dome light fixture (ran my power from one of the nuts at the bottom of the fuse box that also holds a few other wires and it's been working trouble free for a week) but I must have done something accidentally because now my fuse blows even though the resistance when the battery is disconnected is about 40 k ohms.

Anyone experienced something mysterious like this. I feel like I'm going crazy!

Many Thanks.

Disconnect your V1 and see if it stills blows fuse. My bet is it does not...

Well I wish that I could say that that was the trouble... The only think I can think of is that something happened to the dome light plug when I removed it causing some of the wires to cross.

This is the weirdest electrical problem I've faced and I've owned VWs too!
