Default AFAIK, it's exactly the same part as the VAST mount...

Lots of folks run those without issue.

was your motor mount in good shape? if it is not, it might put a lot of stress on the snub

I really don't think it is - Piggie said he'd never seen one.

Default The mount did NOT break

Rather made a terrible clunking sound when getting on/off throttle. I replaced the APR snub mount with this and am going back to APR. The Greespeed Mount is much smaller in length and diameter when compared to the APR mount. It is also much harder (polyurethane vs a rubbery material). The clunk was from the snub hitting the receiver bracket - APR fits much more snug. The greedspeed was centered as well with engine running etc.

I couldn't even get the snub off the receiver when trying to install APR (broke aluminum receiver - luckily it's cheap 14$ at dealer but special order).

I never had the problem with my APR and when driving the car with no snub, the problem is gone. I was going to replace my rear diff mount until I found this.

Default It is the same, at least it was a couple years ago... I've installed both.

EXACT same VW part, except Mike grinds out the center of his a bit for easier install.

Default That's *precisely* how it's supposed to fit...

It only touches the frame under accel/decel. Take time to center it properly and it'll work fine with no vibes.

Default It's not about vibrations - there were no vibs

When getting off the throttle in 1st and 2nd hard - you would hear a loud CLUNK (snub hitting surround) - New MM. It was centered perfectly.
