ive goton the heatsheild bolts out on the driverside, and 2 lower nuts off the down pipe, I cant get the heat sheild out, or to the last bolt, any one whos done this b4 got any tips on that bolt or the heatshield, ive been elbo deep for an hour n cant seem to get it

everything ive read says you dont need to remove the heat shields to get the downpipes off, just take the bolts out. try getting to the last ones from the top

I cant get the 17mm wrench on the last bolt, I can see/feel it, but the heat shield hole where the bolt is by is to narrow to get the wrench on it, and theirs not enough room for a ratchet

I did not actually remove any heat shields. On the passengers side, I moved it out of the way and on the drivers side I snuck the wrench in the access holes in the heatshield. The upper and inner bolts were the worst part of the job for me.

or you could use an atv to rip it out and wonder why your egt sensors are wrecked

yeah im gona pick up one of those wrenches, and try n get the bolt on top threw the heat shield, its been 2 weeks of weekend wrenching and there still on their, idk what im going to do after their out, wether piggys or just get some ssac downpipes n sell off my stock, def wana delete the pre and main cats tho cant get enough of that turbo spool
