Default Drivers seat a bit loose, help pls.

Everytime I accelerate/slowdown I can feel the seat moving a little bit.

Is it easy to fix/adjust ?

Or do I need to waste my time at the dealer ?

Geezzz, so much for the high quality uh ?

Thanks.
Jose

Default Mine's that way too, though I only feel it occasionally & I can't move it around by hand..

I think I've read about a few others with this problem and I don't think it's fixable. Please prove me wrong!
-jeff a

Default actually, I wasted my time at the dealer... (m)

I felt the same thing as soon as I picked up the car.

Took it right back, and the service techs said that the seat was "within spec" (whatever that means) and there are no adjustments they can do for that.. Futzing around with the seat myself seems to validate that assertion. I haven't taken the seat out of the car yet.

One ray of hope, is that the problem seems to be diminishing (or maybe I'm getting used to it) as the seat "settles".. Others have said similar things (about the seat settling). In any event, it's not really offensive.

Just make sure you break and accelerate really fast and hold onto the wheel for dear life, and you won't notice the little thunk... ;-)

Default It's not a totally uncommon problem. (updated)

My seat does this, as does another S4 here in Austin. I haven't had the dealership investigate it yet, but the other guy has. Rod East told him they were going to try to fix it by replacing the lower seat bracket. There was some confusion in ordering the right part, and only just recently did the right one come in for him -- I'll have to ask him if this helped solve his problem.

Update: he says that the part actually hasn't come in yet, so nothing to report yet.

Default Ever sample the sound systems in BMWs and Porsches? They're worse.

IMHO, the Germans do a lousy job with factory sound systems. I'm willing to excuse it because the rest of their work is so good, and I'd rather be listening to the engine anyway.

Do the European models don't come with this POS stereo?
