Default I think you're ready.

I could spend years at ACNA events honing my skills, but they aren't race schools. You're going to learn other things at a race school, and most are set up to take students with different backgrounds and bring them up to speed (pun intended).

Just do it...then decide if you were really ready...or not.

I do understand the cost factor though. It's hard giving up all that seat time at a season of club events for a 3 day racing school.

What if I'm not a member of the Cherokee chapter? How do I sign up?

Default Yeah, which is exactly why I want to do a driving school one first. I'll race next time, maybe.

Baby steps, brother, baby steps.

Default Well there's no racing...

Just a group of cars drving around the track. It's meant so that you can individually work on the areas of the track where you need some improvement and along the way your driving skills improve. The idea is that driving the car becomes second nature to what's going on around you.

Default You just need to be an Audi Club of North America (ACNA) member. Link inside.

Default My plan for that is to get a dedicated track car soon, at which point I can think about club racing.

When I have the car and am ready for club racing, I figure that's when I'll attend the school and hopefully get my license.

I'm in the hunt for a 944 S2, but they're hard to come by.

Default find aixgelo...he's got a 944 out here in NJ...

I know he's looking to sell it eventually. He's just waiting for the right buyer. Don't know what the "S2" designation is though...
