Driving school.. suggestions?
I really want to attend an advanced driving or racing school. I'm in Los Angeles, and the closer the better.
Anyone have suggestions for competetively priced driving schools?

Take a weekend...
... and drive or fly out to Bondurant. I would recommend flying, last thing you want is to have a long drive ahead of you after you're tired and excited coming out of a racing school.
Decide:
1) do you want a driving school or a racing school?
2) if a racing school, does license credit from the school matter?
3) if a driving school, how important is the equipment?
4) re: #3 how important is it that the car you use be AWD?
5) how much time are you willing to dedicate (day, weekend, week...)
Then look at schools...

Addition to that...
Just mentioned Bondurant because it offers probably the widest range of activities/courses of the schools relatively close to you.
If you want a street car handling, etc. course, there are some one-and-a-half day courses at Laguna Seca running now and then.
Tons of options, just be sure of what you want.

skip barber two day driving school ...
was a great experience, i did it last month at laguna seca and it was well worth the money. its more of a 'driving' school, not really racing, but if thats what you want they have that too.
-josh

I get all I need from Gran Turismo 2....
NOT!
I have contemplated the Russell Racing 1-day High Performance class, where you drive your own car....and the 3-day open wheeled class....but I haven't gone yet. I really think it is worthwhile to go to schools that make it their business to teach driving skills. The club events are ok up to a point...but Bonderant, Skip Barber, Panoz, Russell Racing, and a few others are really where you want to end up.
Just my 2 cents worth.
