Driving in the snow is a
BLAST. We don't get much snow here (North Carolina) but I though I would give it a try. I don't have snow tires , just the upgraded 18 inch rims and tires and lowered suspension. I have driven in the snow most of my life in Michigan, so I do know how to drive in it. But what a blast this car is. It had more grip than I thought it would. I felt like I was off roading in a jeep. This thing pulled all the time and never left me out in the cold. By the way, this was the first time my car has seen snow and I had to make sure it saw it early before they put the crap down on the road. Not only are my tires -Yokohama Prada Spec-2s great for the track they are great in the snow.

yes!
I'm in Asheville, and oh my Lord this is fun. I spent 2 hours driving around in the S. Practiced drifting around tight turns (no more than 15mph), and ebrake turns, hehe. It's amazing how heavy this car feels at low speed once you break traction

Uggh. 9" today in SC and mine is a d@mn snowplow thanks to Stasis ;-)
...was pushing snow and stuff all over the neighborhood this year. Absolutely NO ground clearance now... but the S03s weren't too bad suprisingly, even on all the ice.

no more snow to plow here, just ice to skate on.
And it's 5 degress here now. FIVE. I don't remember it being that cold here in at least 10 years. The garage (detached) is 23.
What's really odd, my tranny, which normally is a PITA on cold days (hard to shifts, sometimes clucks and binds up), shifts better now. Go figure.

Stop driving in the snow with those tires.
I just checked with the Tire Rack web site. Unless they are mistaken, those Yokohama Prada Spec-2s are *not* M&S rated.
Driving in the snow or ice with summer tires is hazardous to yourself and others. This applies to your tires, as well as the tires that come stock with the S4 (Pirelli P6000, etc.).
Get snow tires or all-season tires, or park the car and use some other means of transportation to get around until the snow and ice are gone.
