thanks for the advice. The only one I'm really familiar with is Nannyhagen. My brother just flew over from london to try out the s4. We had the best time, but I ran out of ideas of where to go. We did make it as far as Croton though. I'll be more prepared for his next visit.
We took some great video footage of us screaming around one of the industial complexes near here (it was a saturday). It was something for him to take home and watch at his leisure.

I run up to Boston often, using 287N->ThruWay S->287 E->Hutch/Merrit N->91N->84E->MassPike E...you can stay above 90 almost the whole way!

Same way and on the Merritt you stay on until Exit 54 or 57 and take the exit for the Cross Parkway. It is right after the big bridge that is under construction. That takes you across to 95N. 95N is a straight shot from there. I have tried a few different ways and 95 is by far the shortest unless you go during peak traffic.

I exit the MassPike at #13...if I take 95, I'll overshoot and have to come back. The last time I took 95 in the morning (from the MassPike to Waltham) traffic was abysmal...is it any better south of the Pike?

Always look forward to going over the TappanZee and taking the Saw Mill. Nice at about 80mph or so and not many places for the cops to hide.

22 North of the dam is a great road, only problem is everyone uses it.
The better roads are the northern ones. Route 9A North is a fun road, and it leads to 9D, which we all found to be fun, but crowded during peak hours of traffic.
The Bronx River Parkway is another fun run. Start from the County Center, head south till you get to Harney Road. Its twisty, there are a few cop spots, but they've been lax lately.
Hope it helps, and If you find the "holy grail", let me know, I'm always up for a drive.
