Default DTC 16502 - I know what it means, I know what to do| BUT, which part? Two parts listed

and I do not know which one. I have STFA and get conflicting information. Is it the $7 part or the $37 part?

Thanks.

Default Doh, thought most knew. It's the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

DTC 16502 Signal Too High.

Apparently this is a common part to fail and there are quite a few threads about it. However, there are two parts, one is $7 and the other is $37, and I have seen both discussed.

Default Just replaced mine yesterday with the same DTC. It's the $5.95 green one at ECS Tuning

ECS part number 1484. Make sure you also get a spare clip. I didn't break mine, but it is nice insurance to have if you do, and it is only 75 cents.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?searchstring=temp+sensor&amp;sear chqt=byvehicle&amp;make=Audi&amp;model=B5+S4&amp;s ubmodel=Sedan&amp;engine=2.7T">Temp Sensor</a></li></ul>

Default my recent post might help

It sounds like a simple job but it can't hurt to read my earlier post.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2000641.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2000641.phtml</a></li></ul>

One side note, when I replaced mine, I was able to replace it w/o removing the MAF housing
