dtc and stuttering help... desperately needing help. kinda LONG
I finally got my car back together after a couple changes. I have a map clamp installed, and Im thinking it may be one of my problems.
I also was messing around quite a bit with the map(pressure) sensor, so this sensor may be broken. Do these sensors ever break internally?
I also got codes regarding the throttle body, im pretty sure, but when I cleared them they didnt come back the second time around. Could this be a throttle body slowly dyinh?
Well, to help diagnose the problem i'll list the codes.
first time around:
17952-angle sensor 1 for throttle actuator (g187): signal too large
p1544 - 35-10--- intermittent
17580- angle sensor 2 for throttle acuator (g188) signal too low
p1172 - 35-10---intermittent
16622-manifold pressure/boost sensor (g31): signal too high
p0238-35-10---intermittent
second time, after clearing codes:
16621-mainfold pressure/boost sensor (g31): signal too low
16490-manifold/barometric pressure sensor (g71)/(f96): implausible signal
p0106-35-00--
When the car got up to temperature I tried to give it a little boost. Right when it was about to break out of vacuum (0 on the gauge), it completely stuttered, and jerked. I came in and turned it off.
The work that was done was:
-timing belt service
-map clamp
-replaced throttle body
-replaced intercoolers
It was presure tested and held the pressure nicely. Please let me know anything as im kinda lost at this point. appreciate any input
thanks, chris

of course : )
have you messed with a map clamp yet? I am using the split second one which is adjustable. I adjusted it all the way to the highest point, since I didnt want to use it yet; 6 volts. My plan was to turn it down to 4.9 when I got my problems solved and mbc installed. I have a voltmeter. Can you tell me what i am to expect for voltages when running, or key in ignition, to see if all the wires are good.
Do you have any suggestions to these problems?
throttle body?
map sensor?
timing off?

Did you do a throttle adaptation? And is this how your MAP was installed?

meh... Well, he's trying. That's the best way to learn IMO.
Can be a bit more expensive way, but knowledge and lessons learned can be invaluable.
He did do some quality work on his headlights and manufactured a damned nice water box out of aluminum.
