ECM problem?
Hi,
I am trying to help a friend out whose car will crank, but won't start. A local mechanic looked at the car and suggested it may be the ECM, and a replacement will cost about $1000 (Canada, OEM). He apparently did some research and found they could be re calibrated, but I don't know anything beyond that. I should add it's a 2001.
Can anyone offer some insight? Is this a common problem with a common fix?
