Default For more information:

You should buy it from ECS if you are interested since they were the ones to 'discover' this.

I am being a cheap *** and trying to find the Audi part number for it to save $30.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/n75-info.html">ECS Tuning</a></li></ul>

Default thanks....

I don't mind saving $30 either. Is that the correct PN for the same part sold by ECS?

Install directions?

Default Hey...

I'm putting out some feelers to see if there are enough people interested to put together a group buy of some sort.

I work at a VW/Audi/BMW dealership and I should be able to get my hands on them for a good price.

FYI, the OE Audi part runs $71.15...but I should be able to get them for considerably less than that.

Default It is my understanding that its just the same valve as the stock one.

They have just adjusted it for "race" perposes. In reality I think that they are just using the adjustment screw that is on our valves to forve the n75 to react more slowly to input from the ECU. This is why many people adjust there stock n75 so that they dont get any "lag" which is really just the n75 waiting to long to start closing the wastegate. Thus ECS seems to be just taking what many people feel is a problem and making it even worse by adjusting it so that it lags so far behind it makes more boost than the ECU wants. But it also means that it waits longer to start making boost also. Thus the huge fast ramp of boost you see in the graph that ECS made.

<img src="http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/images/product/ecs/engine/N75_boost_vs_MAF.gif">

Now maybe its just me but I want my ECU to have as accurate and timely control over the wastgates and boost preasure as possible. I definately dont want to "cheat" the system so that i could potentially overboost the turbos.

If any of this information is wrong please let me know. But to the best of my knowledge it is accurate.

agreed, which is why I really don't think it's a great idea.
