Has anyone installed this? Requires a 500 mile break in. After no more than 5 psi for a split second I got up to 10 psi at the 500 mile mark. Clutch slipped about 5-6 times. Now it seems to be holding.
I have never heard of a clutch like this...is this normal for Kevlar? I also installed the awe-tuning light flywheel.
Supposedly this kevlar clutch is stronger than the OEM RS4 ... weird thing is the clutch feels light on my foot like the stock unit.

the OEM clutches, but at the cost of clutch life. I wouldnt expect to get more than 10-15K from that clutch, if even that. Thats just a general rule for kevlar style clutches.

Damn if this is true I am pissed that I didn't know and that there wasn't any disclamer that the average life was considerably lower than the RS4 OEM one...I would never have had this installed had I know.
I can't afford spending $600 on a new clutch and $1400 in labor every year.

1st: the "break in" is about 500-800 miles , mine slipped over and over up to 700 miles.
2nd: yes this clutch is alot stronger than oem RS4 , Xlnt for drag racing.
3rd: it feels light cause you got a light flywheel .
if it slips after 2000 miles give Brian@ECS a call !

Damn, had I know I would have given gone with the RS4 clutch.
From what I hear the RS4 is marginal at 450hp+ but the ECS one works slightly past 500hp+...enough to not have to worry about going with the 450-480 K04 upgrade on race gas. Since I am planning on K04s eventually this was a planned upgrade.
