ECU question- if I unplug the ECU on my A3 for 30 minutes, will it reset the ECU and clear any codes

like it does on my S4? TIA.

No. Codes will stay there. Use your VAG.

Unfortunately, I don't have CAN interface which is needed for the A3... Doh!

VAG runs with 8P chassis (A3). What's the problem?

Don't know about the A3, but with the B7 A4/S4, you need CAN to connect to engine module (ECU).

Default CAN is needed for 8P A3's, as well as other newer models.
