Default EDL / ESP - Differences ? (blitz?)

I know people have wired in the EDL kill switch on the 2000 cars but how about the 2001 cars with ESP ? Is that going to change the procedure in anyway ?

I beleive the 2001 cars have an additional pump below the ABS controller which is exclusively for ESP (at least it seems so in bentley). Can anyone confirm this ? This pump has it's own clip type electrical connection, I'm going to simply disconnect this and see what happens.

The EDL kill seems different than killing ESP, am I correct ? I don't quite understand how though (yet).

ESP and ABS are more interdependent, hence the pump.

Default I'm going to try this but

I'm not so sure about them being interdependent with the ESP system having it's own separate pump (will confirm this as well, going off bentley right now). In other words I'm curious in that regard as to whether ABS will still work with the ESP pump disconnected (electronically).

I'm still a little confused about the EDL deal with ESP cars though.

I havn't tampered with cars equipped with ESP other than removing fuse #7 which seems to work.

Default thanks I'll try that, that killed ESP or EDL (or both?) ?

my other option was to unplug the two ESP computers under the back seat...

so what is your thought on EDL vs. ESP , two entirely different things ?

Both. It is the ABS (antiskid) fuse
