Default EGT Questions...

1. How does the VAG tool measure EGT's? Through the ECU?
2. Is there a separate sensor that can be tapped into for measurement via an outside gauge?
3. For those of you who have EGT gauges installed, where did you place the sensor (manifold, on top part of the DP?)
4. Can the manifolds be accessed from under the hood for sensor placement?
5. Any special wiring harnesses that need to be tapped?
6. Anything else I'm missing?

Default the VAG gets its egt value from...

balancing the values for the EGT sensors(black modules on the back of the manifold) from each bank...I guess if you had a voltage sheet for the egts you could setup up a gauge to show the temp values!
