Default why waste your time? there's a reasonably priced kit available

This is what I'll buy when my clutch fan burns up.

Much better in the sense that it frees up power, cools better or quieter?

Any advice on "high flow" vs "medium flow"?

Default Frees up power, cools better = YES. Quiter = hell NO. That thing is LOUD.

But, it blows almost twice as much air. Basically you never have to worry about overheating in rush hour traffic on a very hot day.

Default I don't know which one I have. They didn't have the option last year when I got mine.

The high flow might be a larger fan.

Default where do you tap the wires

on the aux fan on the front or on the AC fan?

Default There is no "tapping". It's on a relay wired directly from the battery to a switch by my right knee

Some people like to use a thermostat, but I'd rather manually control it when I need it. I've never had a problem, but the thermostat guys say their fan is on too often.

Don't tap into the other fans. First, it won't come on when it is needed. Second, you're fuse system isn't setup to run it off that circuit.
