electrical contact cleaning fluid?

electrical contact cleaning fluid?
Is there something I should look for? The brake light is driving me nuts and I'm going to make some high quality rugged jumpers instead of the pins that are in the brake pad wear sensors.
I wanted to thoroughly clean the electrical contacts before doing this.
Do I get it at Radio Shack or some other place? What do I look for?
There's some rust on the contacts since they are exposed, so I was going to clean them out with a wire brush/file before further cleaning.
