Electronic Throttle Problems
I have a 2000 S4 6-spd with a ECP light that flashes on and the car bucks and cuts out. This seemed to start at first only when hitting a bump. Now the car isn't even drivable. I had the car scanned at the shop I work at with a Snap-On global obdII scanner. The techs told me that the ECU wasn't responding. Fast forward a week, new ECU same problem. I traced the ECP light and it says that the code is related to the Throttle By wire system, but the light dosen't stay on, only when going down the road and boosting. Also the car runs fine when in neutral and free-reving the engine. Any ideas would be appreciated.

When the EPC system acts up the car goes into...
...limp mode. Which is exactly what you're describing. There's nothing you can "fix" in the throttle body itself.
Check your connections at the throttle body. If okay, check them at the pedal. If both okay, then you most likely need another TB. Codes would tell you for sure.

It dosen't seem to go into a limp mode, the car isn't even drivable, it just bucks and stalls. I'll check all the connections at the pedal and double check the throttle body tommarrow. Thanks for the feedback.
