Default EMERGENCY! Can Eibach 600/700 springs be used in place of Hyperco's on a Stasis suspension?

LI-S4 is trying to install a Tracksport suspension as I type this and when he opened the spring box the springs inside are Eibach's. Supposedly they look like they will fit, and they look linear as well.

Can anyone please confirm if they are safe to install?

Default When he says they are better, they are better. It is not open for discussion, if you

want to know the answers, they are out there, do some research.

Just having some fun

Default Tomasz@Startupracing pretty much backed that up just now...

I just spoke to Tomasz (who I bought the springs from), and he gave me some pretty convincing explanations that back up what Eric just said.

Tomasz cites that the Eibach springs are made from a slightly higher quality steel that allows them to save a little physical weight while achieving the same properties. Sounds good to me, anyone else care to comment? TIA!

Default hyperco are nice springs, eibach are nice springs. eibach are lighter...

...but Ti springs are even lighter. Or the weird stuff Vogtland uses are even lighter then Eibach.

I've NEVER seen a hyperco spring have an issue or even sag in many many many years.

That being said, I have Eibach springs on my car right now, and I think they're great to.

Honestly if you were a weight freak, go Vogtland or Ti coil over springs, they're lighter then eibach.

I don't think eibach are "better" then hyperco in this instance as I've seen nothing to prove one way or the other. Eibach is a much larger company though that can go either way. I've not had an issue with either.

Default Great, I think the biggest worry is that the Eibachs are not interchangeable with the Hyperco's

It sounds like its not worth sending the Eibachs back for the Hypercos.

Thanks!

Default you'll be "ok"...

...the "OD" of the rear spring will make a difference, the Eibach's are a little "tighter" with a smaller OD then the Hyperco's, as a result, in your rear spring perch, you may have more play with the Eibach.

Also, the coil-bind length can vary spring make to spring make at the same length/rate, but that's not a *real* concern since you're not going to coil bind the spring.

Default Ryan, thanks (m)

My concern is that the T-Sports were originally valved for the Hyper-Co's. And mixing the springs with shocks valved for a different spring is a recipe for disaster..

If STaSIS has done their R&D and give the Eibach's a thumbs up, I'll install them.. otherwise I will always be looking over my shoulder wondering....could the Hyper-Co's generated improved performance...???

At this point it was too late to get the install done...so tomorow is another day...Thanks!
