First off, I got a ticket for expired emissions, $60. The Trooper told me to get it done and send in the copy with the ticket and plead not guilty. OK at least he was cool about it. I avoid emissions like the plague, I only go when I get a warning or ticket. The last time I went with my blazer, they forgot to raise the front rollers so when he shifted in 4wd, the truck jumped off the rollers, smashed into the swing out fan causing it to hit the wall and break the window in the waiting area, needles to say I didn't pay 40 for the test (overdue).
So I go in today, wait about an hour, and tell the guy I want to drive it on the roller. He saqys no but he would have the suppervisor drive it and I could sit shootgun, ok, cool. There was an A8 before me that went through w/no issues so I figured I was safe. Wrong. I told the guy that was driving her that she was AWD, he says no prob. The test starts, up to about 1500 rpm's and my speedo isn't mopviong much. Oh oh, I look out the window and see the rear tires spinning on the cross bar becuase they didn't raise the rollers, idiots. So a second after I realize this. the ABS lite comes on. I yank the car out of gear and start making a small scene. Nothing major. It took about a mile of driving before the light went out. My question is, could there have been any damage to the car by their screw-up? TIA

that your car is 100% imune from any state and federal emissions dyno testing! This is a federal sticker.
PLEASE, PEOPLE, read your manuals, check your warning decals and know your rights!

"* Testing process will be simpler for some people. For 1996 model year vehicles and newer ones, a testing process called On Board Diagnostics (OBD) will be used. The test is done through the vehicle's computer. For vehicles of other model years, the current ASM test will be done."<ul><li><a href="http://dmvct.org/Vehicle_Services/Emissions/newprgm.htm">http://dmvct.org/Vehicle_Services/Emissions/newprgm.htm</a</li></ul>
