Engine computer-which ones will work?
Need an engine for my s4 stick 2001. I am told that any 2.7 twin turbo 2000-2002 will fit but the original matching computer must be used (ie: 551m). If the engine is the same than is it the engine sensors or wiring harness or both that require the original matching computer model? If the harness and all sensors are swapped with my sensors and harness will my computer operate the engine correctly?

i'll defer to the experts here but
i can tell you that the MAF sensor is one thing that changes...meaning that only certain ECU boxes can communicate correctly with certain MAFS. I beleive there are 2, a hitahi and a bosch...not sure whcih one you have.
