Default EPC light came on. Codes below...

Control Module Part Number: 8D0 907 551 M
Component and/or Version: 2.7l V6/5VT G 0002
Software Coding: 06711
Work Shop Code: WSC 06435
6 Faults Found:
16805 - Warm Up Catalyst: Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold
P0421 - 35-00 - -
17539 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor: B2 S1: Internal Resistance too High
P1131 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16815 - Warm Up Catalyst: Bank 2: Efficiency Below Threshold
P0431 - 35-00 - -
17525 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating Circuit: B1 S2: Short to Ground
P1117 - 35-00 - -
17522 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor: B1 S2: Internal Resistance too High
P1114 - 35-00 - -
18047 - Accelerator Position Sensor 1/2 (G79/G185): Implausible Signal
P1639 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

I expect all the Cat/O2 stuff since I'm running dps and test pipes... but the Accel. Pos. Sensor has me worried. STFA and it seems it's throttle body (boot) related?

I've checked the boot, connectors, pipes, etc and it seems to be okay. Boost holds fine, no limp mode.

Only symptoms exhibited was what seemed like "choking" while idling after some hard runs and a few minutes of cool-down idling. Weirdness.

Accell position sensor is one of the gas pedal potentiometers. You need a new one.

Default okay. I assume that "implausible value" means > 100 or < 0.

I noticed that there's two? One that grows to a higher % the further down the pedal is pressed, and one that changes inversely? That's just based on some VAG-COM observations.

Default Yes, there are two for redundancy. If one fails, it uses the other one however a code is still

thrown. I'd guess there is a dead spot in the trim pot and the % of one to the other isn't what is expected. Not sure of the PN, I tried STFA's for ya but didn't see a part number.

Default im not sure if you can replace the potentiometers piecemeal or if you have to replace the entire

assembly.

my guess is you'll need the whole assembly

Default This is the one to look for:

"17525 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating Circuit: B1 S2: Short to Ground
P1117 - 35-00 - -"

The O2 heating circuit is not fused and can hurt the ecu.

Take care.

Default so the burning smell from the ECU is a bad thing?

possibly caused by this? Where do I find this circuit? I think I need a Bentley manual...
